When people find out about this, they often ask, “What’s the benefit of hiring a property management company?” Today I want to discuss what we do and how property management helps our clients.

When things begin to head south, you’ll wish you had a property management company. We take care of all the annoying and troublesome parts of renting out a property. 

One of the biggest things we help our clients with is maintenance issues. The last thing you want to deal with on a Friday night is a tenant mad about AC issues. We have online work order systems set up, so if a tenant has an issue, they submit it through our website instead of calling you late at night. Once their order is in, we contact a contractor immediately to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Not only is the process easier for you, but your tenants will appreciate the quick service. 

We also help you collect rent. It sounds simple, but issues arise when you don’t have the right systems in place. We make things easy. All our tenants can pay online, saving you time driving all around town. Also, with each state having different COVID regulations, it’s difficult to keep track of how you should handle late rents or any other issue. We keep track of all that for you, so you don’t have to worry about complying with local law.

Something I’m a big stickler about is screening tenants. As property managers, we want to make sure you have the best tenants possible. We are thorough with our screening process, and over the last six years, we’ve only had to evict three tenants. If you have a quality property and a quality tenant in that property, things are going to run pretty smoothly. It’s part of our job to make sure you find the right match. 

A big part of our job is avoiding evictions, but what can we do for you if you have one ongoing? Fortunately, we take care of it for you. You will still be making all the decisions, but if you decide to go forward, we have relationships with local attorneys who will make the process as simple as possible.
